"Old money's out...

...and the Converse-sneaker-clad social networkers are in."

A friend of mine (thanks BigJim!) passed this WSJ article along--"Jacket (Not) Required"--and LC had to share. It's sad that three-piece-suits, fedoras, and neckties are part of a dying era, an era where men and women dressed to a (classy) T in all that they did. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for a return to the June-Cleaver-way-of-life...I can think of a few better things I would rather do than vacuum the house in pearls and a crisply pressed skirt. However, there is a time and a place for everything, including neckties at dinner...

  1. Reading this article the old saying, "there is a time and a place for everything" came to mind. While I am certain the "June Cleaver" era has passed, there is something to be said for a man dressing up in his finest to enjoy certain nights out on the town. It is a shame that these may be becoming a thing of the past.
